BPM tools
In order to support its business process redesign methodology MÖBIUS uses different modeling tools, according to the customer's needs, in order to analyse, visualise, simulate and optimise processes:
These tools allow the user to:
- Define business processes
Definition of processes, sub-processes, activities, procedures
- Analyse business processes, i.e. all relevant information will be stored in a database allowing in-depth analysis:
- What?
- Definition of the objectives and targets of the business processes
- Who?
- Definition of the process owner and executer
- How?
- Procedures and instructions for execution of every step of the business process
- Means?
- Documents supporting the business process
- ICT applications supporting the business process
- Dynamics?
- Number of process triggers per reference period (e.g. number of orders, calls, requests, complaints,...)
- Handle time of each process-activity
- Quantification of decision trees
- (Re)design business processes
Different market conditions, enabling technologies, mergers,... force companies to redesign their business processes. Based on best practices new business processes will be developed.
- Simulate business processes
Implementing adapted processes enabling substantial efficiency gains and cost reductions require investments. Investments are always underestimated while the improvements are always overestimated. Before spending a lot of money, every decision-maker wants to know the risk and the return on investment. Simulating the different alternatives allows the decision-maker to avoid needless costs and to maximize the return on his investments. The dynamics of the processes can easily be simulated based on the dynamic information.
- Communicate business processes
The adapted business processes can be communicated by publishing them on the intranet.
