The idea of MÖBIUS is considered to have a touch of genius for its simplicity: a simple change in the key process doubles the return on investment. This is why we choose MÖBIUS as the symbol of our organisation.
August MÖBIUS
In 1805, the young August MÖBIUS was contacted by a miller. The miller complained that the leather straps of the driving wheels of his mill wore out much too quickly, and only on one side. August MÖBIUS solved the problem by cutting the straps in two, twisting one side 180 degrees and reconnecting the loose ends. By creating of what was later better known as the MÖBIUS strip, he immediately solved the miller's problem: from now on both sides of the straps were used and the life span of the straps doubled.
