89% of improvement projects do NOT realize efficiency improvements in the long term due to the "human factor" that plays a determinant role in failure rates. People are generally reluctant to change and easily fall back into old habits; therefore the challenge is to identify the levers that influence their behaviour.
MÖBIUS' uses its own developed 4X4 tool to:
- Identify the levers for change that are crucial to the success of a particular improvement project
- Score the organization against each of the levers to identify the weak points that could affect the success rate of a particular improvement project
- Suggest solutions to enforce changes to the identified levers
The 4X4 tool is a model that assesses, through interviews, the degree of the levers for change (Leadership, Innovation, Teamwork and Communication) within the organization. These 4 levers for change are each composed from 4 basic components, hence the name '4X4 tool'. By questioning each of these components, the 4X4 tool analyses the level of maturity for change within the organization, with the objective of developing each component to gain enough support for change.
In order to assess readiness for change, both 'change' and 'readiness' are measured. Based on the analysis results projects are identified to meet the measured needs. Once the projects have been executed, the organization is ready to successfully implement the required changes.
Measuring readiness for change is not an objective science, however the 4x4 tool is developed to aim for maximum objectivity; saving and handling data in a structured way and executing complex analysis through to delivery of reports.
MÖBIUS' added value of the 4X4 tool::
- Increased opportunities for successful implementation of improvement projects, within the targeted timescale.
- Long term guarantee of the ROI of your improvement project.
- Identification of prioritized and clearly defined projects for objectively identified needs regarding changes in people's behavior.
